Quilling art and I

Hi. in the first part of this blog I'll talk a little bit about me and the art I practice.
In the second part there's a gift for you for Valentine's day.

Happy reading

About me:
I like to try a lot of DIY (Do it yourself ) projects. My dad who is a great handyman, photographer and amateur-semi-professional  carpenter taught me to fix things around the house, and to create things with my hands.  I managed by myself to replace a broken toilet flush mechanism. ( I was really proud, so I decided to mention it ), but my main projects were more craft related. when I first started to create, I started with Polymer clay. I loved it, but I got bored after a few years. Then I discovered cardboard. I learned that in spite of my perception of cardboard as a “breaking easily” material, I could actually use it to build furniture!.
I used cardboard to create frames  for my paintings, a small dressing table for my eldest daughter and more. I liked the cardboard  but still, it wasn't exactly what I was looking for… I looked for a material which is both delicate and strong, colorful and vivid, flexible and biodegradable, that's how  I found Quilling!

A start - creating your working space

Hi my name is Sari Wurtman, this is my first post ever, and I'm so excited!.
My birthday is coming up next month ( 40 , already??!  ). My youngest just started her first nursery school, and I have free time to devote to "Paperila" - my new upcoming etsy shop.
My first mission is to create a warm and inspiring work space.
My birthday is a great opportunity to ask my family’s blessing  to invest some money and space in my work space, which is now located between the living room and the kitchen :).

I would like to share my thoughts about home decor and design and invite you to take a peek at  my new work space. I love reading design magazines, DIY blogs, and anything to do with home decor and here is my wishlist and three musts to create a beautiful functional inspiring work space:
